St. SOPHIA it was built in the 4th century and reconstructed by Justinian in the 6th century and is one of the architectural wonders of all time.
SULTANAHMET Blue Mosque opposite to St. Sophia built in the 17th century by the architect Mehmet, it was named the BLUE MOSQUE because of its magnificent interior adorning of blue tiles.
HIPPODROME, The scenery of ancient chariot races, the ancient Hippodrome, with its four monuments; the GERMAN FOUNTAIN OF WILHELM II, the OBELISK OF THEDOSIUS, the bronze SERPENTINE COLUMN and the COLUMN OF CONSTANTINE.
GRAND BAZAAR (COVERED MARKET) In this maze of streets and paths you find more than 4000 shops with each business having its own area; the goldsmiths’ street, the carpet sellers, Turkish arts and crafts.
We begin our tour from the Sultanahmet area, Hagia Sophia Museum which was built by the Emperor Justinian in the early 6th century AD , the church is one of the prodigies of world architecture. turned into a mosque in 1453, and now it's a museum. Its great dome still overbear the skyline of old Istanbul. It is also known for its mosaics. Next we will visit the Blue Mosque which was named due to the fabulous tiles decorating its interior. it was built in the early 17th century by Sultan Ahmet I and designed by one of Sinan students , the greatest Ottoman architect, it is very famous for being the only mosque with six minarets. Its courtyard is marvellous huge . The Hippodrome, the stadium of ancient Byzantium, can have up to 100,000 attendants and featured objects from all corners of the empire. The Grand Bazaar was the commercial centre of the old city and its 4,000 shops are full of wonders including carpets , silks, jewelry, ceramics, and leather goods.

GOLDEN HORN the Golden Horn has played an important role in the evolution of Istanbul. The gateway separates the European shore into two. It is almost 8 km long.

CITY WALLS The first infringement of the walls was by the Fourth Crusade in 1204, the second was by Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror in 1453.
